Florida is a gateway market: founders from Latin America and Europe build US businesses around it, remote operators relocate to it, and a large seasonal population needs mail that keeps up when they move. Most virtual mailbox brands rent a Florida address from a third-party franchise desk. We do not. Virtual Mail Hub operates its own mail center on West Laurel Street, right next to Tampa International Airport, which means consistent handling, tighter security, and an address with real commercial standing behind it.
Being next to the airport matters for anyone shipping: inbound freight and courier runs reach us quickly, and if you ever need to collect something in person there is parking in front of the building and four bus routes at the door. Your address is formatted the compliant way, with a PMB number, never a made-up suite.
Three very different people ask for a Florida address. Each starts on a different plan, and each can move up when a bank or a busy month asks for more.
“I am building a US company from abroad and need an address, bank documents, and mail I can read from another continent.”
Start with Mailbox Volume and a Florida registered agent. When a bank or payment platform asks for premises, the Verify plan adds a real commercial office lease and a utility bill in your company’s name.
“I split the year between Florida and the Northeast, and six months of mail piles up in whichever state I am not in.”
One fixed Tampa address that never changes. Every item is photographed on arrival; read it as a scan or forward the originals to wherever you are this season, with the postage quoted first.
“My home address is on my LLC, my marketplace seller profile, and my Google listing.”
Volume gives you thirty included items a month for carrier, marketplace, and vendor mail, with check deposit in your name. Step up to Advanced when a client-facing address and a place to meet start to matter.

Banks, payment processors, and marketplaces screen mailbox addresses. For an e-commerce operator or a founder abroad, that check is the whole game.
Whether a given bank accepts a given address is that bank’s decision under its own policy. See proof of address and virtual office for the document checklist.

Address, mail, and compliance can feel complicated from the outside. VMH keeps the process visible and manageable.
Yes. Your address is a real, staffed mail facility on West Laurel Street, right next to Tampa International Airport, run by Virtual Mail Hub and registered with USPS as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency. It is a street address with a PMB number, not a PO box and not a rented franchise desk.
Yes. Customers list it as the principal or mailing address on their Florida LLC filings and annual reports, on their website, and on marketplace seller profiles, so their home address stays off the public record. It sits alongside a registered agent rather than replacing it; you can add a Florida registered agent to any plan.
No. A mailbox does not create residency or domicile anywhere, and it does not by itself change where you owe state income tax. Florida residency depends on where you actually live and the steps you take to establish domicile there. What the address does is keep your mail in one place while you are between states; your residency is a question for your accountant.
Our Verify plan provides a real commercial office lease and a utility bill in your company's name, designed to meet the physical-address requirements banks ask for during KYC. Final approval depends on each bank's current policy, so we give you the full document checklist up front.
Yes. You can add a Florida registered agent to any plan from a low monthly rate, and it is included on the Verify plan. The agent accepts legal service at a physical Florida address during business hours; the mailbox receives everything else. They are two products because they are two jobs.
Yes. We receive letters, packages, and courier deliveries, photograph each item the day it arrives, and hold it until you tell us what to do. Being next to the airport means inbound courier runs reach us quickly, and there is parking in front of the building if you ever want to collect in person.
A Florida virtual business address is a real Florida street address, operated by a USPS-registered Commercial Mail Receiving Agency, where a company’s mail is received, photographed, and scanned to an online dashboard. Ours is in Tampa, next to Tampa International Airport, in a facility Virtual Mail Hub runs itself.
Two very different groups use one. The first is founders who chose Florida for its business climate and run the company from somewhere else: an entrepreneur in Colombia or Spain building a US business, or an executive who moved from the Northeast and is still finishing the paperwork. The second is people who are mobile by choice: snowbirds who split the year between states, boaters, retirees, and remote consultants who want one address that never changes.
For both groups the address goes on the Florida LLC filing, the bank application, the marketplace seller profile, and the website, and the home address stays off the public record. What it is not is a residence. It does not make anyone a Florida resident, and no legitimate provider will sell it that way.
No. A mailbox does not create residency or domicile anywhere, and anyone who tells you that a Tampa mailing address lets you drop your home state’s income tax is setting you up for an audit. Florida has no individual income tax; that is a condition of genuinely living in Florida, not something an address grants.
Establishing Florida domicile is a real process with real evidence: where you actually spend your time, a Florida driver’s licence, voter registration, a declaration of domicile, and a home or lease you occupy. Your former state will look at all of it, and states with high income tax look hard. A CMRA mailbox is not on that list and cannot substitute for any item on it.
What a Florida virtual address does, legitimately, is keep your mail continuous while you make a move or split your year. Your bank, the IRS, and your state filings see one address that never changes, and every item reaches you as a scan wherever you are. That is the job we do. The residency question belongs to your accountant, and we will say so every time you ask.
Yes. A Florida LLC needs a principal address and a mailing address on its articles and annual report, and a Tampa virtual business address serves as either. It also needs a registered agent, and that is a separate thing.
Florida requires every LLC and corporation to keep a registered agent with a physical Florida street address, available during business hours to accept service of process. A mailbox, even a real street address like ours, is not that office. What the mailbox does is receive everything the agent will not: bank cards and statements, IRS and Department of Revenue notices, marketplace and carrier mail, packages.
You can add a Florida registered agent to any Virtual Mail Hub plan from a low monthly rate; it is included on the Verify plan. Most of our Florida customers buy both from us so the entity’s legal service and its ordinary mail sit in one dashboard. Non-residents can open the mailbox with a passport and a second ID; you can complete the USPS form through online notarization or your own notary.
Every item that arrives at the Tampa address is photographed the same day, so you decide from your phone what happens next: open and scan it, forward it, deposit it if it is a check, or shred it. Nothing is forwarded automatically and nothing is destroyed without your consent.
For a snowbird, that means the six months of mail that used to pile up in the wrong state now reaches you as scans in the right one. Read a bank statement or a medical bill the day it arrives; forward the originals, such as a new card or a signed document, to wherever you are this season, with the postage quoted first. When you move back, nothing changes, because the address never did.
For a founder abroad, the useful part is that time zones stop mattering: the scan is waiting when you wake up, and international forwarding is available for the originals you genuinely need. Forwarding is available on every plan; the included handling differs by tier, and the plan table on this page comes from our live catalogue.
Usually evidence of premises in the company’s name: a signed commercial lease, a recent utility bill, or both. That is a Know Your Customer requirement under federal rules, and each bank and each platform applies it under its own written policy. Many screen out mailbox addresses automatically.
A virtual mailbox does not produce those documents, at any provider, because a mailbox is not premises. What it produces is a real street address with a PMB number, which is enough for the state filing, the website, and most vendor onboarding, and is not enough for a bank that has asked for a lease.
The Verify plan is built for exactly that gap: a genuine commercial office lease and a utility bill from an account opened in your company’s name, with an account manager who introduces you to the property. What we will not do is tell you a named bank or marketplace will accept it. Acceptance is the institution’s decision, and a provider who guarantees it is guessing. We give you the document checklist before you apply so there are no surprises.
Tax and residency statements describe Florida conditions as of September 2026 and are not tax or legal advice. Registered agent requirements: Florida Statutes Chapter 605. Mailbox rules: USPS Domestic Mail Manual 508.1.8 and PS Form 1583.
