Virtual Mail Hub staffed mail room in Cheyenne, Wyoming

A Wyoming address in Cheyenne, in a facility we run ourselves

Wyoming is where founders from every other state, and from abroad, form their LLCs: low filing costs, strong privacy statutes, and no state income tax on individuals or companies. What a registered agent alone does not give you is somewhere for the ordinary mail to land. Virtual Mail Hub operates its own mail center in the Cheyenne business centre, so your Wyoming entity has a real street address with people behind it, not a franchise desk and not a PO box.

Everything that arrives is photographed the day it comes in and waits in your dashboard, whether you are in Denver, Dubai, or on the road. Your address is formatted the compliant way, with a PMB number, never a made-up suite.

  • Cheyenne business centre, our own staffed mail center
  • Built for entity mail: annual-report notices, IRS letters, bank correspondence
  • A real street address in PMB format, not a PO box and never a fake suite
  • Guided USPS Form 1583 with online or your own notary

Who uses a Wyoming virtual address

Three kinds of Wyoming LLC owner come to this page. Each one starts on a different plan, and each can move up when a bank or platform asks for more.

Mailbox Volume + Registered Agent

Non-resident founder

“I am forming a Wyoming LLC from abroad and need a US address and a registered agent before I can even apply to a bank.”

Start with Mailbox Volume and the Wyoming registered agent add-on. If a bank rejects the mailbox address, the Verify plan adds a real office lease and utility bill.

Address Only → Mailbox Volume

US founder who lives elsewhere

“I formed in Wyoming for the privacy rules, but I live in Colorado and the state notices must not come to my house.”

Address Only covers light entity mail from $14.99 a month. Move to Volume when annual reports, bank letters, and vendor mail add up to more than a few items a month.

Mailbox Volume + extra recipients

Holding-company owner

“I run several Wyoming entities and every one of them gets mail that my CPA needs to see.”

One address, one dashboard, a recipient line for each entity at $1 a month, and scans you can forward straight to your accountant.

Lease agreement and utility bill proof of address for a Wyoming business

A Wyoming address for banking, KYC, and your LLC

Filing in Wyoming is the cheap part. The address on the bank application is where things stall.

  • The problemBanks, payment processors, and marketplaces screen mailbox and registered-agent addresses, and applications stall at the address check.
  • The fixOur Verify plan gives you a real commercial office lease plus a utility bill in your company’s name, documents designed to meet the physical-address requirements these institutions ask for.
  • The extrasPair the address with formation, EIN, and a Wyoming registered agent in one stack. We introduce you to the property; we never vouch for occupancy you do not have.
Use it for
  • Business and personal bank account opening and KYC review
  • IRS and Wyoming Secretary of State filings, annual reports, and your EIN paperwork
  • Google Business Profile eligibility support when Google's staffing, signage, and customer-contact rules are met
  • Payment processor and marketplace onboarding

Whether a given bank accepts a given address is that bank’s decision under its own policy. See proof of address and virtual office for the document checklist.

FAQs

Good questions before you launch.

Address, mail, and compliance can feel complicated from the outside. VMH keeps the process visible and manageable.

Yes. Your address is a real, staffed mail facility in the Cheyenne business centre, run by Virtual Mail Hub and registered with USPS as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency. It is a street address with a PMB number, not a PO box and not a rented franchise desk.

What is a Wyoming virtual address, and who actually needs one?

A Wyoming virtual address is a real street address in Wyoming, operated by a USPS-registered Commercial Mail Receiving Agency, where your mail is received, photographed, and scanned to an online dashboard. Ours is in the Cheyenne business centre, in a facility Virtual Mail Hub runs itself.

The people who need one are almost never in Wyoming. They own, or are about to form, a Wyoming LLC and need a fixed place for state notices, annual-report reminders, IRS letters, bank correspondence, and vendor mail. A registered agent handles service of process; it does not handle any of that ordinary mail. The virtual address is the second half of the entity’s paperwork infrastructure.

It also works as a plain virtual mailbox in Wyoming for individuals who travel full time and want one US address that never changes. What it is not is a residence: it does not make you a Wyoming resident and does not by itself satisfy any residency test.

Do I still need a Wyoming registered agent if I have a virtual address?

Yes. A registered agent and a virtual mailbox are two different products, and Wyoming law is the reason. Every Wyoming LLC must keep a registered agent with a physical Wyoming address that is staffed during business hours to accept service of process. A mailbox, even a real street address like ours, is not that office.

What the mailbox does is receive everything the agent will not: bank letters, IRS notices, state correspondence that is not legal service, and packages. Most Wyoming LLCs end up with both, and most of our Wyoming customers buy both from us so the entity’s paperwork sits in one dashboard.

You can add a Wyoming registered agent to any Virtual Mail Hub plan from a low monthly rate, and it is included on the Verify plan. If you already have an agent elsewhere, the mailbox works alongside them; nothing needs to move.

Can a non-US resident use a Wyoming virtual address for an LLC?

Yes. Wyoming is one of the two states most non-resident founders choose, and a Cheyenne virtual address is a normal part of that setup. You do not need to be a US citizen or resident to open a mailbox with us.

The paperwork is USPS Form 1583, which authorises us to receive mail for you. It asks for two forms of ID; a foreign passport works as the photo ID, and a second document such as a national ID card or driver’s licence completes it. USPS permits eligible CMRA witnessing as well as notarization. VMH currently offers online notarization or upload through your own notary; any online fee is shown in the wizard.

The point where non-resident founders most often get stuck is the bank. Many banks and payment platforms screen out mailbox addresses during KYC. That is what the Verify plan is for: a real commercial office lease and a utility bill in your company’s name, designed to meet physical-address requirements. Acceptance is each institution’s own decision, so we give you the checklist before you apply.

Does a Wyoming LLC with a Cheyenne address lower my taxes?

Not by itself, and any provider that says otherwise is selling you a problem. Wyoming has no individual income tax and no corporate income tax, and it ranks first on the Tax Foundation’s 2026 State Tax Competitiveness Index. Those are real conditions of operating in Wyoming. They are not created by an address.

Where an LLC owes tax depends on where its owners live and where the business actually operates. A founder in California who forms a Wyoming LLC and uses a Cheyenne mailing address still has California tax obligations, and the LLC may need to register in California as a foreign entity. The mailing address changes where the mail goes, not where the money is taxed.

What Wyoming does offer, legitimately, is low annual fees, strong charging-order protection for LLC members, and privacy statutes that keep member names off public filings. Those are the reasons to form here. Talk to an accountant about the rest; we handle the mail.

How does mail forwarding from Wyoming work if I live abroad or travel?

Every item that arrives at the Cheyenne address is photographed the same day, so you decide from your phone what happens next: open and scan it, forward it, deposit it if it is a check, or shred it. Nothing is forwarded automatically and nothing is destroyed without your consent.

When you ask us to forward, we quote the postage first and ship on your approval, domestically or internationally. Most customers forward very little, because a scan answers most letters. Original documents such as bank cards, court papers, or signed contracts are the usual exceptions.

If you are a full-time traveller, the practical benefit is one fixed address that never changes on your bank, the IRS, or your state filings while you move. If you run a Wyoming LLC from another country, the benefit is that time zones stop mattering: the scan is waiting when you wake up. Forwarding is available on every plan; the included handling differs by tier.

Tax and residency statements describe Wyoming state conditions as of September 2026 and are not tax or legal advice. Registered agent requirements: Wyoming Statutes Title 17. Mailbox rules: USPS Domestic Mail Manual 508.1.8 and PS Form 1583.
